iFit Live

Last year, I bought my treadmill mainly because I don't like to be out walking/running by myself in the dark. Summertime is usually ok, but for most of the year, I get up in the dark and I get home in the dark. It's not like I live in the ghetto, it's more about me being all paranoid and skittish. Or maybe I've seen one too many horror movies. In any case, I bought the treadmill so that I wouldn't have an excuse to NOT workout.

But treadmills are BORING. You can only do the on-board programs for so long. Also, the interval and hilly programs also increase speed automatically. I'm not quite to that speed level yet and I'm getting tired of adjusting the speed every time it inclines.

My treadmill says that it's compatible with iFit Live using a wireless module. This thing sounds so cool. My favorite feature is that it links to Google maps. You can map out a course and the treadmill with incline along with the terrain. Hello? Lafayette Reservoir without the wind, the inconvenient park times, and no hunting for parking spaces. Perfect! I can even hike Half Dome, the Grand Canyon, or even the Great Wall of China! It also links to my profile on iFit Live so that it can track my maps, my workouts, and my progress.

So, when I saw it on sale, I had to get it. It's configuring as we speak and can't wait to try it out!
